HOOP DREAMS: YIRRKALA

HOOP DREAMS: YIRRKALA

In 2022 House of Darwin launched Hoop Dreams. An initiative focused on refurbishing basketball courts located in the remote communities of the Northern Territory.

Basketball courts are a platform for health, dance, and wellbeing for the wider community. A central point that’s vital in bringing people together. House of Darwin have refurbished three basketball courts with murals designed by the community, for the community. A way for the youth to see how their thoughts and creativity can directly affect their environment. Our program aims to create long lasting pride and unity in Indigenous communities.
