Tyrown Waigana x HOD Successful Man Tote
Tyrown Waigana is a multi-disciplinary artist and designer whose practice spans painting, illustration, sculpture, animation and graphic design. He is connected to the Wandandi Noongar people of South West Western Australia and the Ait Koedal clan from Saibai Island in the Torres Strait. Raised in the suburbs surrounding East Fremantle (Walyalup), Tyrown draws inspiration from both his cultural roots and the creative energy that surrounded him growing up. His approach is playful, expressive and deeply personal, often blurring the line between tradition and experimentation.
His work is shaped by the belief that creativity is a way of passing through time, a means of making sense of the world, and a way to honour knowledge systems that exist beyond written language. While not everything he creates is directly tied to culture, it remains the driving force behind his practice. Tyrown brings a raw and honest energy to everything he does — blending humour, identity and heritage in work that feels both grounded and imaginative.
